4th Global Culinary Challenge Malaysia (GCCM)

About GCCM

The Global Culinary Challenge Malaysia (GCCM) is Malaysia’s first culinary competition for East Asian and Chinese cuisine which is endorsed by the World Association of Chef Societies (WACS).

The competition was founded with the objective of promoting Malaysian Chinese and East Asian cuisine among the local and international culinary scene, and to nurture future generations of culinary talents in Malaysia. First organised in 2019 in Negeri Sembilan, the competition saw a total of over 600 local and international participants in both editions, with over 15,000 spectators witnessing the event. The event is supported by the Department of Tourism of Negeri Sembilan and local chef associations.

In 2024, the 3rd edition received support from the Ministry of Tourism of Malaysia, and was first organised in conjunction with Food & Drinks Malaysia by SIAL 2024, and saw approximately 500 local & international contestants participating.

Following the success of the 3rd edition, the 4th edition of GCCM will take place once more in conjuncton with Food & Drinks Malaysia by SIAL 2025, and anticipates up to 1,000 chefs from the local and international culinary scene taking part.
